County to conduct property auction

Alameda County will hold a tax-defaulted property auction through the Internet today until Tuesday.

Bid4Assets.com will conduct the auction for the county, which is offering 170 properties for sale, with minimum bids starting as low as $325. No properties in the auction have a reserve price.

Bidding will start at 8:30 a.m. today and close at different times March 18. A deposit of $5,000 - with a $15 processing fee - is required in order to bid on the properties.

People interested in the sale can preview the auctions at www.bid4assets.com/alameda. Bidders who are unable to bid online can contact Bid4Assets toll-free at 1-877-4ASSETS to request an off-line bid form or to bid.
